Obviously, the Observatory site must be monitored non-stop in order to prevent unexpected incidents.
For this purpose I acquired and installed a pan-and-tilt FOSCAM FI8910W interior surveillance camera, with night vision infrared LEDs (which can be turned on/off at the operator’s request):

The camera can transmit information to the recording device through a network cable or via wireless communication, if the wired connection fails (the recording device is located outside the Observatory).
Because the task of video recording (monitoring) is critical, the camera and recording device are powered via UPS.
